TS included in South Central Zone Cultural Centre
Telangana State has been included as the sixth member state in the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) at a special meeting held here on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: Telangana State has been included as the sixth member state in the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) at a special meeting held here on Wednesday.
The meeting was presided over by the Maharashtra Governor and SCZCC Chairman C Vidyasagar Rao, attended by the Chief Secretary, Rajiv Sharma and Secretary to Tourism, B Venkatesham from Telangana state. The representatives of the other five states -Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh were also present.
The meeting also decided to open a Regional Centre of the SCZCC in Telangana and organize mega cultural events in the coming months in this region. The Cultural Centre is an autonomous organisation working under the Union Ministry of Culture with its headquarters in Nagpur.
