Multiple award winning Masab Tank-based sports NGO, Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) has done it again. The Foundation relentlessly goes about identifying rundown marshy and waste dumps that are all breeding places for illnesses or are used as safe havens by anti-social elements and those into vices, and transforms them into bustling sports hubs of one magnitude or the other.

It goes without saying that the yeomen services it has been rendering has been winning plaudits from a cross-section of people, who are since breathing easy. What ought to be the principal function of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is being taken up by SCF personnel-creating lung space for the health-conscious citizens.
In its latest such turnaround, it has converted a vastly neglected garbage dump site at North Kamalanagar near ECIL crossroads under Kapra Municipal limits. What was a nauseating place for the passer-by has now become a clean and beautiful sporting facility. This was achieved last week within a span of 48 hours.
According to the Foundation founder-Secretary, K Saibaba, “We feel blessed when such projects get appreciated and, more importantly, if the locals start using it. The Kamalanagar facility is being used by young and elderly women, thanks to the involvement of ‘Abhaya Association for Empowerment of Women.’”
He opines that such responses spur them on to take up more such projects, something that they have been doing for the past 24 years. Saibaba is inviting individuals to contact him at the Foundation or on Tel Nos: 93965-59440/78935-62583 if they wish to be associated with SCF's 'Build India Through Sports' mission.
