A White Night

With the international music extravaganza, Sensation White being a mega hit over the weekend, Hyderabad now has another reason that places itself brighter on the map

Hyderabad witnessed a music festival that set a benchmark for music festivals to come. Sensation brought in its troupes from Amsterdam to entertain India here in Hyderabad’s very own Gachibowli stadium with a show one could call an experience. The show started off with Sensation in house DJ Mr White, followed my world famous DJs like Axwell, Afrojack, Laidback Luke and Lost frequencies.

Sensation White’s Pleasuredome 2016 had a huge a gathering of about 20,000 people all dressed in white. The centre stage was set up in the theme of a carousel—the stage rotated giving audiences around a complete view of the DJs playing. On both sides of the carousel-themed stage were four huge metal structures that came up like wings, loaded with lights and fireworks. Dancers entertained the audience while a few were sent up in swings hanging off the metal wing structures.

Every DJ brought in their own groove to the music they played which actually wiped off, what a non EDM fan would call the “monotony”. The show saw an enthusiastic crowed from the very start of the show till the end that almost went up to the break of dawn. People, after the show, were seen leaving with aches and pains from dancing for over six hours but with satisfied faces and wanting more.

The show saw many celebrated faces from the Tollywood industry like, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and Ravi Teja revelling in the spirit of music. The city hopes to have many more events like this in the future. Hyderabad now has another reason that places itself brighter on the map.
