In the premises of Vijayeswaraswamy temple near Prakasam barrage, ‘Aruna Parayanam’ has been organised by devotees for the last 36 years under the able guidance of Pasumarthi Kameswara Sarma. Number of devotees attended this and performed puja and Soura homam during the four Sundays.
On the last Sunday, the hillock was completely covered with devotees. Ladies also participated in large numbers and performed surya archana. The four week programme was organised by Krishna Mohan, Jayadev, Phani Kumar.
