Mahindra Ecole Centrale College of Engineering, an Indo-French technology Institution, conducted its first edition of ‘Aether’, a technological cum cultural intra college festival on March 5 and 6. The fest is aimed to create a forum for the intellectual and cultural amalgamation for students from colleges in and around Hyderabad. Spanning over two days, Aether included a swirl of eclectic technical and cultural events.

Aether conducted events ranging from assembling a hovercraft to European art. The event was also the host of various workshops on topics like ethical hacking and mobile application designing, among others. Students across Hyderabad participated in big numbers this scintillating event that piqued their interest intellectually, culturally and creatively.

Prof. TSK Murthy, Dean Operations and Industry Connect, Mahindra Ecole Centrale said, “Aether was a very well organised student initiative and the assorted mix of events ranging from creative to intellectual to cultural delighted the senses and evoked the curiosity and interest of not just the participants but also the audience.”

The gaming enthusiasts reveled in a gaming content called Virtual Vendetta. It was a huge hit with the participants and audiences. The games being challenged were DOTA 2, Counter Strike 1.6 and FIFA 15.The geeks delighted in Rastel (an open challenge for hackers and crackers), Hackathon, workshops on Ethical Hacking, App Development and 3D printing. The crowd went wild when DJ Anish Sood was performing at the grand finale.
