The seriousness of the cops is such that the rules will take concrete shape as early as Friday. To the vehicle owners this move will be music to the ears as it is likely to ease traffic congestions at busy thoroughfares, particularly in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas.

The bane of traffic regulation, to an extent comes in the form of mobile food courts that dot several important junctures. In its bid to streamline their overbearing presence, the Cyberabad Commissionerate has decided to make the ‘outlets’ accountable in every aspect, including as tax-payers and legal owners of such ‘joints’.

However, what may be debatable is the likelihood of shifting the mobile food courts to more spacious places in the adjoining areas. According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand the vehicles were causing inconvenience to road users, creating traffic congestion and affecting public safety during peak hours.

In order redress such grievances the proposals had been readied for implementation after taking cognisance of the issue with the participatory involvement of personnel from health, fire, metro water, RTA and insurance wings. Incidentally, members from the operators association are also involved in the framing of guidelines.

The existing operators will be issued relevant forms that have to duly filled and complied with.

The proposals
1.Registration with RTA
2.NOC from Health department
3.Insurance Policy
4.VAT Registration
5.NOC from Fire Department
6.Commercial Cylinders
7.Gas and Electrical Safety certificate
8.NOC from Land owner (if operating in private land)
9.Location Map
