Highlights

You can read a newspaper in a short time. Sounds interesting, right? Remember that newspapers are written with a very specific formula: who, what, when, where, why, and how always come first. Everything else, background information, quotes from witnesses, etc, comes later. It is the journalist\'s formula for success. Start with the headlines.

You can read a newspaper in a short time. Sounds interesting, right? Remember that newspapers are written with a very specific formula: who, what, when, where, why, and how always come first. Everything else, background information, quotes from witnesses, etc, comes later. It is the journalist's formula for success. Start with the headlines.

This is the most consolidated way to determine what will be of interest. Once you've found an article you'd like to read, read only the first paragraph or two. You can glance over the rest if you like, but the first few lines are always the heart of the story. Don't get too caught up in reading each article word for word.

Usually, you can get the gist of any piece of writing just by picking up the main idea and a few keywords. Only read in detail if the piece is of great interest or importance. Read all the pieces of interest, go by the headlines. A lot of time can be wasted going back and forth trying to find that article that caught your eye sixteen pages ago. When you're in a rush, small distractions can really add up.

Small Talk
You're making me blush!
Srivathsala: Design Experts, how is the office design going?
Sailesh : Oh, Srivathsala! Don't call me a design expert. You're making me blush.
Malathi : But I like that title. You can call me a designer, Srivathsala.
Srivathsala: Haha. Okay, but how are the things going?
Sailesh : We've designed the office in three sizes because we're not sure how large our space will be. Here you are.
Srivathsala: These are excellent. You two must have put a lot of thought into this.
Malathi : Actually, we went online and collected a lot of fair related materials.
