The India Aviation 2016 is a five day biennial event being organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India and FICCI. Four Pilots with 4 single engine aircrafts will perform aerobatic acts, Mark Jefferies, Tom Cassells, Chris Burkett, Steve Carver, Michael Pickin all British Champions, together they form the Global Stars aerobatic. This time they will do with four ‘Extra 330SC’ aircrafts. The Global Stars team will be opening India Aviation 2016 today at 3:30 pm.

Four Extras were shipped on January 14 from London Gateway port to the ICD (International Container Depot) Hyderabad via Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, the team informed. “Tom and myself flew the show in 2014 arousing great enthusiasm amongst the crowd, so much so we needed a police escort through the masses of supporters,” informed Tom Cassells.

The Extra 330SC (single competition) is the top of the range aerobatic aircraft with +10/-10 G limits. Following the inauguration they will enthrall visitors by their air acrobatic acts twice a day, once in the morning at 11.35 and second time in the afternoon at 3 till March 20.

The show will last for about ten to fifteen minutes. The aircrafts are equipped with cameras and transmitters for air-to-ground live video and to record the flying displays and air shows.

The Global Stars team has recently performed at Avalon, Australia in March, Ahmadabad, India in April 2015, Zhengzhou, China in September 2015, Bahrain (BIAS) in January and now in Hyderabad. It is the same team which has performed during the 4th Edition of India Aviation Show 2014.
