On May 25, 2015 FLO Hyderabad announced a Skill Development Initiative “Women in Transport” for empowering women in association with Govt of Telangana and Maruti Suzuki Driving School
This national initiative of FICCI FLO will train 1500 women across the country, if there is more demand, more will be trained in driving, communication and etiquette.They have interviewed more than 150 women, out of which 70 women were shortlisted, 20 completed the CSR driving course, 14 of them have moved to the last phase of employability training which is called Unnathi Programme.
These 14 women, will be employed by the end of April in various academic and small scale enterprises. 2 batches with 25 women will start in the next two weeks as a part of the Unnathi programme.
