When the whole world, for some reason, is going gaga over kebabs, the fine dining Indian restaurant ‘Kangan’ at Westin Hyderabad is doing the whole drill with a twist. The restaurant, which is known for its Indian food, and that evidently, means a wide choice of succulent kebabs from all across the land on the menu - decided to give their signature kebabs an interesting touch of fusion.

So you had the seekh kebab infused with parsley, chicken seekh kebab filled with bell peppers, teriyaki chicken grilled in tandoor, thai chilli prawn, fennel fish, jacket potato – the tandoor version, broccoli and potato spiced tikka and the corn kennels tossed in kadai masala; primarily it was about Thai and continental ingredients adding flavour to eastern delicacies.

While a bit of aroma and a slight change to the preparation and taste added novelty, the delicate fusion did not interfere with the indigenous flavours of the tandoor delights. To end the meal on a sweet note, do try the Kulfi falooda - a North Indian twist to the Hyderabadi specialty from the main menu.
