Radha Prashanthi and silk stories

Prakrit, a silk exhibition by Madhya Pradesh Silk Federation showcased varieties of silk woven clothes that included Mulberry, Eri and Tussar.The three-day exhibition which was inaugurated by actress Radha Prashanthi at Taj Deccan on Tuesday caters to requirements of middle and above middle class sections in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Radha Prashanthi said women need not worry about the quality; the products were made by the Madhya Pradesh Silk Federation. Commissioner of Sericulture, Retired, CS Ramalakshmi felt that the products are nature’s made as silk is generated from the plant and animal. She hoped that Madhya Pradesh government would make more headway in producing silk products as it has been blessed with large forest track.
