The ‘Sunshine Institute of Gastroenterology, Liver Diseases and Minimal Invasive Surgery’ was inaugurated by MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha in Secunderabad on Sunday.

Speaking after the inauguration, K Kavitha expressed her happiness about the city becoming a medical hub and maintaining treatments of international standard.

In addition, she mentioned the Chief Minister’s plan on making NIMS Hospital a centre of excellence in orthopaedics with world-class services at affordable prices for the common man and subsidised prices for the poor.

Dr AV Guruva Reddy, Managing Director, Sunshine Hospitals said, “The Institute of Gastroenterology, Liver Diseases and Minimal Invasive surgery offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment options for both common and uncommon gastrointestinal (GI) diseases.”

The services include complete evaluation and management plans, routine colonoscopy and endoscopy prevention screenings with a dedicated emergency team in place to respond to crisis in real time.

“The surgeons on board have cutting-edge experience in India and abroad in the management of major GI surgical problems through Minimal Invasive Surgery. Endoscopic therapeutic procedures and Endo sonography are also available,” he said.

The Institute’s gastroenterologists, chief Dr B Ravi Shankar, Dr Nagarjuna Yarlagadda, surgical expert Dr Anandakumar, Dr R Padmavathi, Dr I Bharani, Dr Vamshi Krishna, anesthesiologist Dr Manoj K Deva and hospital staff attended the inaugural event.
