The power of Hindi
As part of the annual activities, Powergrid held a Rajbasha Sangosti and Kavvi Sammelan recently. Organised by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Hyderabad Region the event was attended by Hindi officers, senior officials, CMD and directors of organisations of Central Public Sector Undertakings from Hyderabad and from other States.

Organised by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Hyderabad Region the event was attended by Hindi officers, senior officials, CMD and directors of organisations of Central Public Sector Undertakings from Hyderabad and from other States.
The programme started with lighting of Traditional lamp by Lalji Singh, former Director of CCMB and well known DNA expert in the presence of dignitaries like Uday Baskar, CMD, BDL who happens to be the Chairman of TOLIC, Prof. Venkateshwar from Osmania University and V Sekhar, Executive Director, Powergrid.
Eminent speakers stressed upon the need to communicate official information in Hindi and to increase the usage of the language in day-to-day activities frequently. Prof. Venkateshwar stressed that all the southern States be brought under KA region at par with northern states need to speed up the implementation of Hindi.
Later, in the Haasya Kavvi Sammelan was held wherein about eight poets from Hyderabad in different fields entertained the delegates with punch of day-to-day happenings.
