It will be an educative weekend for hundreds of boys and girls when they descend at the Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam in Srinagar Colony on Saturday. The Union Government-approved Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is organizing a seminar on ‘Golden Opportunities in Packaging’ from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

It will be an educative weekend for hundreds of boys and girls when they descend at the Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam in Srinagar Colony on Saturday. The Union Government-approved Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is organizing a seminar on ‘Golden Opportunities in Packaging’ from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

Experts from diverse fields belonging to industries, universities, educational institutions and packaging professionals will deliver lectures during the seminar. Students from different colleges in the city can take advantage of it and get to know about career opportunities in the packaging industry.

Dr N C Saha, Director of IIP, said on Thursday that there was a great demand for innovations in the hugely competitive packaging industry because of which the requirement of packaging professionals has increased manifold.He said it was a wise move that packaging has been recently included as a subject in Science and Technology.

More than 2,000 alumnus of IIP are working in leading MNCs, thanks to IIP’s thrust on providing 100 percent placement, he said. Dr Saha said that May 14 would be golden milestone for the institute as it will complete fifty years of existence.
