The Sultan-Ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy (SUCP) hosted a two-day national conference on Nanotechnology at its premises in Banjara Hills. In his address, the director of Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Dr Akun Sabharwal said, “Telangana is the top most state in the country in manufacturing of drugs and with the formation of pharma city, opportunities are huge for students.”

The President, CII-Telangana Health Panel and President, Quality Operations, Bharat Biotech International Ltd, Sai D Prasad gave an insight into how students should develop leadership qualities, teamwork and communication skills for better progress in their careers.

Scientific lectures were given by Rajabhanu Kolanukonda, Assistant Director of DCA, Andhra Pradesh; Dr Suman Kapur, Dean of International affairs division, BITS, Pilani, Hyderabad Campus and Dr N Madhusudhana Rao, Deputy Director, CCMB (Chief Scientist).

The Chairman of Sultan-Ul-Uloom Education Society (SUES) Khan Lateef Khan presided over the meeting and Secretary of SUES, Zafar Javed spoke on the occasion. Upto 150 students presented scientific papers in oral poster sessions and best papers were given prizes. Later, a journal, college magazine and R&D newsletters were released.
