Run For Jesus

The sixth successive ‘Run For Jesus’ was held today at the LB Stadium, Basheerbagh amidst much fanfare and thousands of Christian youth from different churches across the city. Flagged off by MP, K Kavitha, the event had participation from important dignitaries including bishops, senior clergy members, pastors and evangelists from all churches across the city.

“The Run is conducted on the “Holy Saturday” between Good Friday and Easter Sunday to commemorate the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Lord Jesus,” informed Paul Devapriyam Pulla, chief coordinator for the event. “It stands to showcase our Spirit of Unity and brotherhood. The Run is to involve the Christian youth in a sportive way in Evangelism. The Run stands for Christian Identity and Integrity,” he added.

“The event was held simultaneously in over 400 towns and locations in Telangana, AP and parts of Karnataka and is the only such programme in India which brings all churches on a common platform and shares the spirit of oneness and brotherhood among the Christians,” said Paul amidst loud cheers from the mammoth crowd.
