Swaranjali organised a Bharatanatyam dance interactive session at Nishulk Prabhat High School recently. The event was conducted as part of the programme titled Parichay 2016 – an introduction to cultural heritage of India. 

Swaranjali organised a Bharatanatyam dance interactive session at Nishulk Prabhat High School recently. The event was conducted as part of the programme titled Parichay 2016 – an introduction to cultural heritage of India.

Well-known dancer Purva Dhanashree said, “Dance helps to develop the skills of mind and body coordination. It also brings in discipline and increases the patience levels in any person.”

Purva explained the various ‘Mudras’ like – elephant, deer, snake, monkey, flower, flute and also invited a few students on stage to join the process of depicting ‘Mudras’.

She also performed a few pieces, which were based around the life of Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama and Lord Shiva. The programme concluded with a presentation based on the five elements of ‘Panchabhutas’.
