Taking digital payments to a new level, Yeldi Softcom Pvt Ltd has associated with India’s flag carrier Air India and is providing pre-paid cards for their employees that can be used in the airport-run canteens in Hyderabad and Chennai.A total of 4,000 cards were issued by Yeldi to the airport canteens over a period of three months.

In spite of having online transactions and e-shopping facilities, there are instances where people have to stand in a queue for hours to acquire their requirements. While breaking a queue is considered to be objectionable, Yeldi Softcom Pvt. Ltd has launched the ‘queue breaker card’, which can handle all micro-payments from handsets that are enabled with NFC technology.

With regard to the Hyderabad airport canteens, initially there were 600 cards issued followed by an additional 200. One of the advantages of the Yeldi cards is that transactions in the range of Rs 5 to Rs 50 can be handled. After a pilot run in Chennai, the cards are expected in the near future to be issued to the canteens in other cities for making digital payments an easier access for any transactions.
