Successful homemakers are those who maintain an equal balance between both their professional and personal life”, says 22-year-old city-based author, Naimisha Mummidi, who penned her debut book ‘Successful Housewives’. The book is a self-help guide that benefits homemakers in multiple aspects. It has essential tips with examples and interviews with successful women, who are managing their professional and personal life with élan.

Naimisha says that watching motivational videos is her favourite pastime from childhood and one day she watched Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech where he mentioned that India’s success rate hugely relies on women as they play a key role in successful companies. ‘Almost half percentage of the country’s population is comprised of women and when these women are not given a chance to work and prove themselves, then India will take far long to become a developed country’ the PM had said and these lines motivated her to pen the book.

“I wanted to check what the main reasons are for a woman to back out from their professional life after their marriage. For the book, I started listing out problems, spoke to people and to my surprise I found that it’s not the family that stops them from work, but it’s the lack of balance that they miss out during prioritising things,” she says.

Talking about her first book Naimisha says, “It’s an interesting book that readers can to finish in one go. Grabbing their interest by giving realistic examples was my main aim. The content is in simple words so that it could reach out to many.”“I want my readers to conquer the world by grabbing the tips mentioned in the book and become ‘Successful Housewives’ just like my title,” Naimsiha signs off.
