The cultural event held as part of the three-day annual year-end college fest that also featured multidimensional cultural programmes reached a crescendo when the man of the moment and the star attraction Aditya Prateek Singh, aka Badshah, arrived on the stage.

There was no denying that hundreds of boys and girls were waiting for the “Wakhra Swag” singer to take centrestage, which he did with aplomb. He did not let down the hoopla and awe surrounding the performer’s crowd-pulling abilities, and his magical rap and pop numbers.

An instant hit; that is what Badshah was soon after he began his first rendition. The crowd went berserk with each number that electrified the atmosphere deep into the night. Singing along and tapping their toes, the young crowd lived up to their craze for the rapper.

St Mary's Group of Institutions, which honours excellence in academics, sports and winners of various competitions during the three-day festivities, enjoyed the distinction of being the first engineering college from the city to have Badshah performing live on stage. Incidentally, this was also the Bollywood sensation’s maiden show in the twin cities.
