Although, ECIL imported a few technologies, invariably, they required R&D work for adaption to Indian conditions and customer requirements.

Some of the examples developed include ‘Super 32 Computer System’, ‘SPC Telex – arising out of Siemens Technology’ and ‘Turbo Supervisory Automation package’, which came during the company’s second decade. Notwithstanding the competition in the industry, ECIL ventured into the realm of production technology and quality improvement bringing out significant products like ‘Flight Data Analyser for Indian Airlines’, ‘Satellite Tracking System for applications in Space’ and more.

ECIL is one of the few companies that offer multiple technologies under one roof for total solutions across strategic electronic areas. The indigenously built Nuclear Power Plants across the country have vital instrumentation and Control Systems that are engineered and manufactured by ECIL. The company also manufactures a wide range of precision electro-mechanical components and systems for defence forces.

Standing on the threshold of 50 golden years, ECIL has every reason to feel proud today as it continues to inspire not just its committed people, but thousands of lives it has touched through its innovative products and systems.
