Priyadarshini Chatterjee crowned Femina Miss India 2016

Enhancing the world of beauty and glamour, fbb Femina Miss India 2016's winners were announced by Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan in a glittering and scintillating ceremony at Yash Raj Studios on April 9.

Priyadarshini Chatterjee of Delhi was crowned as fbb Femina Miss India World 2016, Sushruthi Krishna from Bangalore was announced as the runner up and Lucknow’s Pankhuri Gidwani was crowned the second runner up.

The jury panelists included eminent personalities from the fashion and film industry like Sanjay Dutt, Yami Gautam, ace designer Manish Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Amy Jackson, Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna, Sania Mirza, Shane Peacock, Ekta Kapoor who had a tough time choosing the winners. The finalists were judged on the basis of various parameters like talent, intelligence, poise and elegance.

The finalists walked the ramp in gowns designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock. The gorgeous gowns were seen in colors like champagne gold, midnight blue, teal, black and maroon. The hosts of the evening were Karan Johar and Manish Paul who kept the audience entertained at all times.

But the highlight of the event was when Shah Rukh Khan came on stage and wowed the audience and the contestants at large with his characteristic wit. He romanced the top 5 contestants and danced on some of his romantic numbers from his films and left the audience mesmerised.
