The conference had over 2,500 cardiologists attending from all over India and from 48 countries across the globe. Organised by the interventional arm of Cardiology Society of India (CSI), the event focused on imparting knowledge of newer techniques in cardiology practiced by renowned experts from across the globe.

Live cases of new and innovative procedures were transmitted from reputed hospitals in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, including five hospitals from Hyderabad and also from global counterparts from USA, Germany, France and Korea. Over 500 CD case were presented by national and international interventional cardiologists at the meet.

Speaking after inaugurating the conference, Mahmood Ali said that government is laying great emphasis on providing quality healthcare. “The government will be setting up four new super specialty hospitals. Heart disease is spreading like an epidemic, it's our own making, changing lifestyle, food habits, stress are the prime reasons for this condition,” he said.
