The second pop-up kitchen promotion in the series of curated culinary events - that recreate the magic of cuisines, at Oriental Bar & Kitchen, Park Hyatt - Wonders of Sichuan Wok will soon be ending – on April 24.

Before that, try catching up with Chef Xiang Bin Li from China House, Grand Hyatt Mumbai. He has brought with him the famed Seven Secrets of Sichuan Spices, and is definitely not going to reveal them.

He will however be treating your taste buds with some Wok tossed traditional delicacies from the Sichuan region. The Indian palate is already well-attuned to the spicy flavours of Sichuan – lamb noodle soup, for instance with its fiery flavour thanks to the chilli flakes and peppercorns.

Also on the menu are Jiang Nan style smoked fish, sliced lamb with cumin seed, Sichuan chilli chicken. The fried rice, Su chow Fan and Jasmine rice had along with traditional main course dishes making for a hearty Chinese meal. Among the desserts, do try the seasonal special Mango pudding, which is indeed traditional Chinese to the hilt, according to the chef
