Sarojini Academy gets new turf wicket

In preparation of its summer demand, Sarojini Cricket, Tennis and Fitness Academy unveiled a new practice turf wicket at its grounds late Wednesday evening. It was inaugurated by A Dinakar Babu, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) who took guard and also bowled a couple of balls to mark the occasion.

The latest addition comes close on the heels of the main turf pitch that was inaugurated earlier by A K Khan, DGP of Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Dinakar Babu exhorted the youngsters into cricket and tennis to take advantage of the facilities and also give equal importance to physical fitness for which equipment and trainers were available on hand. Later, he felicitated the trainees by giving medals.

Academy Secretary G R Kiran reassured to put in place all that was required to ensure that the trainees would not be deprived of any facility as they fine-tune their skills. Coaches Sandeep, Jagan, Bala Subramanyam, Purushotham, Khaja, Aditya, Dhanunjay, Mohan and Revanth besides the children and their guardians were also present.

Meanwhile, AK Khan inaugurated the summer camps on Thursday.
