He was speaking at ‘Hi Hyderabad’, the popular talk show on Radio Mircho 98.3 FM on Tuesday. Interacting with RJ Hemanth, the Mayor had freewheeling conversation with listeners where he explained the initiatives the government is undertaking to make lives of people comfortable.

“The city of Hyderabad has grown manifold, but amenities like roads, drainages have not kept pace with the growth. In fact at crossroads in the city vehicles halt and create enormous pollution, this is highly damaging.

Development is important and protecting greenery is also a priority, the government will ensure that development and environment protection go hand in hand,” he said.

Amongst the initiatives he pronounced were, Government initiating a emergency service concept called Road Doctor; there will five teams in five zones, comprising of personnel from various departments who will immediately respond to citizens complaints through GHMC App on road damage, drainage problems; they will give either a permanent solution or a temporary solution and later a permanent one.

With over 10 lakh listenership, and being Hyderabad’s hottest Radio Station - Radio Mirchi provided the opportunity to listeners to have a direct dialogue with the city’s mayor, who was patient and gave creative solutions to many problems.
