Air force Officers Cooperative Housing Society Vayupuri installed a CCTV Surveillance System on Friday. The system, which was inaugurated by Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad CV Anand, has been installed under the Community Project as per the provisions of Public Safety Measures Enforcement Act of Telangana Government.

The president of the society, TJ Reddy explained to the commissioner by demonstrating on the colony map where the CCTV cameras have been installed.

“A total of 16 cameras (octavision) 3.0 megapixels, IP based with IR distance of 50 m have been installed. We also installed Disk (Green Technology) 4 TB with Monitor 32 Led in the office room premises, at a cost of Rs 7,50,000 with annual maintenance of Rs 45,000.

There are upto 220 households here with a population of 650 of which 60 per cent are defence pensioners and majority are senior citizens and super senior citizens and few of them are widows. Vayupuri Colony is aged and ageing society with different set of needs,” said Reddy.

Members of the society E Rama Chandra Reddy, DCP Malkajgiri Zone, Sayeed Rafiq, ACP Alwal Division, M Jagadish Chander, SHO Neredmet police station and others attended the installation.
