Rani Rudramma Devi was the most prominent woman ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty. Throughout her life, she continued to be an epitome of strength, and her life teaches us to be passionate about pursuing our interests and becoming capable leaders.

A powerful classical ballet on Rani Rudramma Devi conceptualized by popular Kuchipudi dance Guru Vyjayanthi Kashi, performed by her daughter and disciple Prateeksha Kashi had garnered accolades during its previous performance.

Prateeksha in one of her former interviews had shared, “When we thought of the powerful subject, the thought process in my mother’s mind was so strong that the interpretation was already filled with much energy.

She has been thinking about it day in and out. And while we were practicing, she was there constantly correcting us, and so every practice went a notch up.”

Prateeksha Kashi will be presenting ‘Rani Rudramma and Thandavam’ as a part of Hyderabad Arts Festival on May 14 at CCRT Amphitheatre, Madhapur.
