In a terrific showing city boy Harsha Bharatkoti did the State proud by winning the bronze medal in the Asian Junior Chess Championship in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Continuing his impressive run all though the coveted championship, he logged in an enviable 6.5 points from nine rounds.
This marks a memorable milestone as Harsha achieved his second International Norm.

Later at an impressive ceremony, Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi gave away the prizes in the presence of Hisham Al Taher, General Secretary Asian Chess Federation.

Meanwhile, Telangana State Chess Association President A Narasimha Reddy and General Secretary Anamchinni Venkateswarao hailed Harsha’s achievement and hoped that this would inspire the State-mates to continue the momentum.
