Gitam to waive fee for top ten rankers
Vice Chancellor of GITAM University Prof MS Prasada Rao on Friday announced rank lists of GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2016 for admission into B Tech, B Pharmacy, M Tech and M Pharmacy programs.
Visakhapatnam: Vice Chancellor of GITAM University Prof MS Prasada Rao on Friday announced rank lists of GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2016 for admission into B Tech, B Pharmacy, M Tech and M Pharmacy programs.
Briefing the media on the results, University Vice-Chancellor said the online admission test was conducted on all-India basis from April 19 to May 8 at 44 centres across the country this year and a total 52,000 students registered their names to appear for the GAT-2016.
Total 88.7 percent students appeared the online examination which includes 1,084 SC candidates, 344 ST candidates and 37 PH candidates. The rank lists are available on the university websitewww.gitam.edu, he informed.
Prasada Rao said the University would give total fee waiver to the top 10 rankers in B.Tech and also took a decision to offer special scholarships to B.Pham, M.Pharm, M.Tech., and Aerospace Engineering programs.
The online counselling for these programs would be held at Hyderabad, Tirupathi, Vijayawada , Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru centers from May 26 to May 29to admit the students in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru
campuses.
He further informed that 25 percent seats have been reserved for Karnataka students in GITAM Bengaluru campus for which the University is conducting exclusive admission counselling on May 20 and May 21 at Bengaluru campus considering KCET-2016, COMEDK-2016 and GAT-2016 ranks.
