There are several lakhs of photographers, 90 per cent of them are self employed. Governments spend crores on grooming doctors, engineers, lawyers. But, they spend literally nothing to develop skills of photographers. They have increasing number of seats in professional colleges for doctors, engineers, lawyers. But, there is only one BFA college at JNTC for both the Telugu states put together that too with limited seats, said Hussain and urged government look into the same and increase educational facilities for more people to learn photography.

Speaking further, VV Ramana, the man behind Photography exhibitions in Telugu states added that due to increasing use of smart phones, mobiles devices and tablets, few people are looking for a low end photographer. Smart phones are have become mainstream and has been affecting the photography. That is why photographer needs to gain more skills and must be in a position to do hi-end jobs. Then only he will survive, Ramana informed.

The most successful and sought after event for the imaging industry in the state of Telangana, ‘Photo Expo’ and ‘Broadcast & Film Expo’ is to be held from today to May 15 at JRC Convention Centre, Jubilee Hills.

It will be formally inaugurated today by Devi Sri Prasad, a music composer, singer, and director.

Organised by city-based Villart, Photo Expo, is to be participated by over 100 exhibitors from across India brands including Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Nikon, Photoquip, Monarch, Epson and others.

The event also offers an opportunity for the photographers and videographers to enhance and hone their skills by way learning sessions and workshops, informed by Venu Bhagavan, Director, Grow10X. Various free seminars / training sessions, etc. organized for the benefit of the industry professionals such as Seminar on Photography by Joseph Radhik and Photriya Venky, Seminar on Photographers Psychology Management by Padma Puchikudi.

VV Ramana of Villart Expositions, the organizer says, "Expos like this one give an opportunity to know the trends in the industry and a chance to the visitors to adopt and use them and better themselves and their service. The exhibition provides so much information in so many areas of interest all at one location."
