​Hyderabad: Every summer, Yashoda Hospitals group extends all the young and aspiring doctors a wonderful opportunity to work along with some of the best doctors in the city and experience what it really is like, to be in this profession.

Continuing this tradition, the sixth edition of Young Doctors Camp was conducted from May 9 to 12 Dr G S Rao – Managing Director of Yashoda Hospitals group elaborated the objectives and details of the four day camp.

He said Yashoda Hospitals strongly believes that if you enjoy what you do, you will excel at your work. Vital decisions, like career choice, cannot be made in vacuum. Therefore, we came up with the idea of Young Doctors Camp to offer invaluable hands-on experience opportunity to all the students to work together with eminent doctors in a superior hospital environment.

The Young Doctors Camp, he said, has been getting overwhelming response year by year from the aspiring young doctors. The unique camp has gained so much of craze among young students and parents alike and its popularity has spread across neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharasthtra, Karnataka and Tamilnadu apart from Telangana, said Dr G S Rao.

This year the volume of entries for selection to the camp has been phenomenal. Out of 3000+ entries received, 126 students were shortlisted based on merit and clarity of their expression. They were divided into three batches and allotted to three hospitals of Yashoda Group in the city.

The camp was successfully and simultaneously held in three hospitals for four days between May 9 and 12 he added. Following various expert doctors they were led to operation theaters, in and out patient wards, diagnostic facilities, pharmacies and nursing stations to understand various medical systems that are part of a health care institution.
