Sony unveils G Master Series to capture candid pictures

Sony India has launched ‘G-Master’ with three new interchangeable lens models with the theme of ‘Tomorrow’s Lenses Today’ to deliver revolutionary imaging experience, at The Park on Monday.

Hiroyuki Tokuno, deputy general manager of Digital Imaging Business at Sony India inaugurated 3new models which include, FE 24-70mm F2.8GM Standard Zoom Lens, FE 85mm F1.4 GM Telephoto Prime Lens and FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS Telephoto Zoom.

“G-Master series is a long awaited proxy plan from Sony and it is the brand of the high resolution and stream bokeh. We started to approach the professional photographers since we launched our A7 series in 2013.

As per the market demand we have developed more lens products in last couple of years. The products we introduced here used for both still photographers and videographers. G-Master series is designed as per the requirements of professional photographers with 4D high standard resolutions,” said Hiroyuki Tokuno.

The new FE24-70mm F2.8 lens has a SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) focusing system that positions the elements fast and accurately. The motor is smooth and quiet, making it an ideal choice for shooting both still images as well as movies.

For accurate auto-focusing, the FE 85mm F1.4 GM lens includes a ring drive SSM motor system that provides ample power and speed to drive the lens large, heavy focus group.

To cover the 70-200mm focal range, the new FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS Telephoto Zoom lens offers the extremely high rendering auto-focus performance and image stabilisation, making it a versatile choice for shooting wildlife, sports and wedding events.

These newly launched products- FE 24-70mm F2.8GM Standard Zoom Lens and FE 85mm F1.4 GM Telephoto Prime Lens are available in the market at a price of Rs 154,990 and Rs 129,990 respectively. Price of FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS Telephoto Zoom is yet to be decided.
