SCB demolishes illegal buildings for second time
The authorities at the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) demolished an illegal construction of duplex building (House No 3-6-98 at Boosa Reddy Guda in Ward No 4) on Tuesday.

This is the second time the Board conducted demolition of the building whose owners had permit for construction of a residential house for ground and first only. Earlier, the authorities had brought down the structure in 2013.
Majority of the owners, on condition of anonymity said that they were duped by their land lord Prakasha Rao and others and by their builders Surendranath Sanghi, Nirmal Sanghi, Chetan Sanghi and others.
“We are seeking legal advice to take action against the people responsible as we are in heavy loss of money and have no shelter,” they said.
Meanwhile, CEO of SCB Sujatha Gupta appealed to the people not to violate the sanction plan and construct structures as per allotted purpose to avoid the punitive action by the authorities.
The demolition drive was carried out in the presence of assistant engineers M Gopala Krishna Das and B Balakrishna, sanitary inspector A Mahender along with the help of local police personnel of Marredpally.
