The first edition of techQ, a national level telecom and technology quiz contest, conducted by Bharti Airtel, witnessed 1600 students from eight leading technology institutes in India participated in this year’s edition of techQ.  

Hyderabad: The first edition of techQ, a national level telecom and technology quiz contest, conducted by Bharti Airtel, witnessed 1600 students from eight leading technology institutes in India participated in this year’s edition of techQ.

The finals were held at the Airtel Campus in Gurgaon with Avinash Mudaliar a leading quiz master in India, moderating the 2 hour long contest.

This year’s winning team from R V College of Engineering, Bangalore, who kept up the tempo till the final stages, walked away with cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh, while the team from NSIT, Delhi won the runners up prize of Rs 50,000. Other finalists included teams from IIT Roorkee, NIT Bhopal, NIT Allahabad, DTU, NSIT Delhi and College of Engineering Guindy.

Commenting on the finale, Shyam Mardikar, Chief – Strategy, Architecture & Engineering at Bharti Airtel Limited said, “Technical education has been a big strength for India, with Indian engineering talent today being an integral part of every top technology company in the world.
