The Big Burger Tour

Hard rock café Hyderabad has always been big on burgers…quite literally. The ongoing World Burger Tour only makes it bigger with a new line up inspired by variety of cuisines.

One can taste a chunk of Mexican with the Quesadilla veg burger that has the polenta patty filled with spices, sweet corn, boiled black beans and vegetables flavoured with tangy enchilada salsa and sparingly used Swiss cheese avocado and nacho straws; or the kafka spiced onions used in chicken burger with the patty infused with shawarma spice, the customary lettuce, garlic hummus, mushrooms, peppers and creamy feta crumble for the Istanbul touch.

Also on the menu are the Caribbean and Lebanese vegetarian burgers, Italian chicken burger and also Indian tandoori chicken burger for the quintessential Indian in you. These burgers come with crispy crusted fries tossed in sweet chilli sauce served with garlic aioli, chinichuri mayo or sweet chilli dip.

The burgers too come with unique dips – and if you feel your burger is too dry or bland for your taste, which I thought the vegetarian burgers were – open it up and pour out the dip as per your choice to enhance the taste. For Italian burger you have the spicy and tangy sundried tomato aioli, the Indian tandoori variant comes with mint chutney in mayo sauce and so on.

What is Hard Rock Café without some exciting cocktails to go with the burgers? Wash down the insanely huge burgers with predominantly summery cocktails like the delicious El Matador made with fresh strawberry, rum and lime juice or the Watermelon hoedown which is vodka, mixed with watermelon juice and lemonade topped with a bit of beer; the sweet and sour Melonpalooza with Bacardi rum, coconut rum, midori melon liquer, pineapple juice or the fiery pepper vodka with ginger syrup, lemonade, blue curacao topped with beer.
