The investiture ceremony of the students’ council of Glendale Academy held on Saturday was more than just symbolic. Parents of elected student representatives were called on stage to pin badges on their wards. 

The investiture ceremony of the students’ council of Glendale Academy held on Saturday was more than just symbolic. Parents of elected student representatives were called on stage to pin badges on their wards.

The act not only brought a smile on the faces of parents but also reaffirmed the Indian values. The students’ council 2016-17 comprises 46 members.

The ceremony was also unique with the introduction of marshals in the Students’ Council. A group of school leaders would take it upon themselves and look after the overall discipline of students.

Addressing the students, teachers, administrators, trustees and parents on the occasion, the chief guest Dr Akun Sabharwal, Inspector General of Police,

Hyderabad Range said that the investiture ceremony should help lift the spirits of the students and they should rise to the expectations of parents as well as teachers and should serve their school, community, nation and mankind at every stage of their lives.

The Guest of Honour for the event was Krishna Murthy, principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ghatkesar.
