Personalised music to express feelings

Hyderabad-based start-up Music4thought has launched customised music production facility for individuals, short-film producers and animation film/game makers. Preeti Sinha co-founder and chief executive officer said that her firm would offer an opportunity for individuals wanting to convey their emotions through music.

“There was an untapped market in providing personalised music for wedding and gaming industry besides short-films,” she said. Music4thought had already created 37 original content and hope to expand its offerings further. And the second time when my elder daughter was born, I wanted to express my feeling, which was not possible at that time because she was too young to understand. But if I would have recorded my feelings she could see it when she is grown-up. So, expressing our feelings to the ones we love is not easy. And that’s when lines from famous songs prove useful. So how about if someone can weave your true feelings into a song?”

Music4thought based out of Mumbai and Hyderabad and it creates songs on demand, with singers from reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, and Indian Idol. Parikshit Sharma (one-half of the Tubby-Parik duo, known for films ‘Guzaarish’, ‘2 States’ And Bajirao Mastani, etc), says, “It also connects lyricists with vocalists and sound engineers to breathe life into their words. Once the ‘emotions are understood’, we write the lyrics, compose the music, record the song.”

Music4thought has roped in Zoheb Ahmed, Hindustani and Western music exponent, who has performed with many international artists such as Lionel Richie, Quincy Jones, Kanye West for Mawazine festival, Morocco in 2010. “Music4thought production not just sounds great but it is visually touching. Every style that we create is original and you can dedicate it to your loved ones or even realise your craving to be a pro music expert,” Zoheb said.

“I am close to music since my childhood and in 2003, I participated in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ aspiring singers can find resources to record albums, and release their works through Music4thought. And if you make short films or video games, here’s your cue for original tracks,” he added.

“We want people to be the soul and hero of their songs. And when we have such immense musical talent in our country, why not tap into it?” Sinha concludes.
