Golden double for Karthik, Abhaya

Karthik Neal Vaddepalli and Abhaya Vemuri made it a grand double in the AITA Talent Series Under-12 and 14 boys and girls boys and girls tournament that was conducted by Noor Tennis Academy in their Rajendranagar courts.

The event was sponsored by the Jubilee Hills-based Sports Village, which is into the promotion of tennis and football. Incidentally, Karthik and Abhaya won the singles titles in the Under-12 category and the doubles in the Under-14 category.

Later, Sports Village CEO, Mohd Shamsuddin gave away the prizes.

Girls: Amulika Gottiparthy (TS 1) bt Patlolla Charitha (TS 5) 6-0, 1-6, 6-3; Doubles U-14 boys: Karthik Neal Vaddepalli/Sree Sharan Kanugovi (2) bt Chanush Chowdary Movva/Brihat Kaleru(TS) 9-5; Girls: Abhaya Vemuri/Apurva Vemuri (TS) bt Vederea Sahithya/Patlolla Charitha (TS) 9-7.
