HMWSSB conducts inspection in Hyderabad

Managing director of Hyderabad metropolitan water supply and sewage board (HMWSSB) M Dana Kishore inspected the status of manholes, sewer works, barricading at various areas in the city. Kishore also interacted with people at Muradnagar, Hills colony, Amba garden, SBI colony, Ayodyanagar colony, Sriramnagar colony and Bhojagutta slum.

He instructed the GM(E) O&M Dn number III to ensure that all the missing or damaged manhole covers are replaced immediately while asking them to make sure that the manhole covers should be fixed at road level and not above or below it. He further instructed them to propose a new sewer line in Bhojagutta slum area to stream line sewer flow into the system.

Later, he also inspected the progress of two reservoirs taken up under Housing and urban development corporation (HUDCO) and aided water supply improvement and distribution network under peripheral circles of Madhubhan Colony, Shastripuram Colony and Rajendar Nagar Municipal circle.

He asked the agencies to expedite and complete the works as per time line schedules and visited the Mylardevpally reservoir to inspect the pumping facility and chlorination plant.

Director (operations) G Rameshwar Rao, director (revenue) D Sridhar Babu, central general manager (E) O&M Circle III, Goshamahal A Prabhakar and other officials of HMWSSB accompanied the managing director during the inspection.
