Fastfilmz app, which offers unlimited download of HD movies, has now forayed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The app offers fastest and most affordable films including Telugu titles. The app was launched two months ago, offers unlimited downloads at affordable data costs as low as Rs 30 per month. Subscribers can share full movie downloads between each other in under 1 minute even in offline mode.

The Fastfilmz's Co-CEOs and Co-Founders, Karam Malhotra and Dominic Charles, shared the app features at a press conference at Banjara Hills on Tuesday. The main objective of this app is to reach rural areas, where most of the people use 2G networks.

Fastfilmz has V-Nova's compression technology, which enables a movie download at as low as 150 MB data per movie download versus a 600MB data usage by any other app. Speaking on the occasion Dominic Charles said: "We are very excited about our new offerings for the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh markets.

While conducting our market study, we noticed that the regional movie consumption is as large as Bollywood. However, not all regional movie consumers have access to fast networks and affordable data to watch movies on their smartphones. This is where Fastfilmz makes the movie-watching experience a lot more accessible and affordable.”

"Fastfilmz has exclusively partnered with V-Nova Technology – the world’s fastest video compression technology – to solve the issues of high data costs for downloads and buffering when streaming. V-Nova allows Fastfilmz to provide full movie downloads at as low as 150MB data per 2.5-hour movie versus a 600MB data usage by any other app. The technology also enables streaming of quality video over the 2G networks that 70 per cent of India’s consumers use,” Karam Malhotra shared.
