As per the orders from State Excise department of Telangana, wine and liquor shops in the city are required to display banners of ‘no sale of liquor to the persons who are below 21 years of age’ and the local police is keeping a tab on sale of liquor in contravention of the government orders.

Talking about the cases where they are doubtful about the customers’ age the shop keepers said that they are insisting on bringing an Aadhaar card or Ration card or any other valid document as a proof of age.
