The loft apartment has every reason to be trending, in high demand and be liked by all. The large open adaptable space of a loft apartment is one of its ultimate selling points. It in many ways gives you the liberty to redefine your home according to your style and taste

If untouched, you get a chance to divide the space into your bedrooms, kitchen and other areas. Even if you find a furnished one, it gives you ample of space to experiment and creates a space that can provide good financial rewards if you plan on reselling it.

So what do you do with such an open space? How do you create a living space that you fall in love with every day? Let’s explore:

Divide and decorate: If you prefer having an open space with least amount of walls and still wish to divide the space, the best way will be using sculptures.

Place a couple of them together on the floor, and easily divide your rooms without any wall. Available in a number of materials, colours, ideations, etc, they can complement your room or bring in some colours as per your taste.

There is another option to place room dividers to separate two different areas. They come in a variety to choose from – carved, painted, with filigree, framed using cloth, etc.

Go for the one that acts as a showpiece as well. Potted plants are a good option too. Place a few indoor plants in a cluster with small showpieces surrounding them to give a complete look. They will not only add some colour to your space but keep the air fresh at all times.

Colour it up: Because you have a space that probably doesn’t have many walls to divide the rooms, choose colours that blend well with each other.

You do not want a psychedelic colour scheme for your home that looks abrupt and discomforting. Go for a subtle colour scheme that goes through every room bringing it all together.

Add splashes of colours through upholstery, lamps, wall art, cushions, books, flower pots, glassware, sculptures, and a number of decorative pieces that can jazz up your home very easily.

Keep coffee tables classy with luxurious looking centrepieces. You do not need a plenty of trinkets grouped everywhere at all times, they will only create visual chaos.

A carefully chosen piece, lamp, candle stand, platter, etc, that stands out from the crowd will complete the look you desire for with very little efforts by creating an appealing visual interest.

Keep it minimal: Bulky furniture takes away a lot of space and makes a room. Go for designs that take the least amount of space but are durable and classy at the same time.

Furnishing sparingly will not only save space but will make your home look bigger, wider and higher than what it is. Mirrors or metallic showpieces are another option to choose from to give your room a spatial illusion.

Bunk beds are a clever space-saving solution for the children’s room. Get custom made storage shelves instead of buying everything from the market. You get to choose your own designs and it gives you a chance to use spaces that otherwise are of no use.

Instead of placing lots of cushions on your bed and couches, place artistic euros that go well with neutral tones. A few of these and your bedroom is a trendsetter already.

Warm it with rugs, curtains and wall art: Now that you have planned the basic interiors of your home, take some time out to choose rugs that will bring everything together and complete the look.

A small drawback of loft apartments is that it makes everything look scattered around. While that is a partial idea to create a comfortable space, it takes away the charm at times.

A colourful rug in the middle of room beneath a coffee-table or a neutral or earthy coloured one for an otherwise colourful room will bind everything and give you an attractive look.

Wall arts are another inspiring way to add zest to your walls. Look out for pieces that add the dash of colour you are looking for. They can add drama and warmth to your living room making it a more welcoming for your guests.

Curtains can do a similar job by not only blocking the light coming from outside when needed but filtering it beautifully during the day when required. You have a good variety to opt from silks, cottons and filigreed.

Lofts give you the option to de-clutter your home by providing ample of space to build concealing storage space. Embrace simplistic approach with lofts.
