State IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Friday expressed his delight at the manner more and more youngsters were taking to innovations that had applications in day-to-day life.

He said it was even more a rewarding aspect that engineering students were vying with one another in their quest to create a gadget that would come in handy for others.

The Minister was speaking after formally inaugurating the ‘Youth Skills Day’ (an annual July 15 event) programme, organised as a youth fest by Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) at the JNTU Kukatpally campus.

The festival saw the participation of boys and girls from all premier Engineering colleges in and around the twin cities.

Rama Rao specifically singled out ‘We Connect’ and ‘Save Animal’ for special mention. It was a day to rejoice for the students as many innovations were rewarded with handsome prizes as part of the cultural programme.
