Dreaming of Sunburn

Shailendra Singh, who produced 74 films in Bollywood, is now coming up with his directorial debut ‘Sunshine Music Tours and Travels’. The film will release on September 2.

He, along with lead actor, Sunny Kaushal shared the movie details during a press meet at Women’s Cooperative Society in Banjara Hills recently.

“The story is about a group of young and trendy strangers from very diverse backgrounds, who come together in order to chase their big dream.

A young boy, (Sunny Kaushal) too dreams of a road trip from Kashmir to Goa. There are 14 unique, charming characters in the film. Each person in the audience will fall in love with a different crazy, mad character,” said Shailendra Singh.

“I had produced 74 films in my career. This is my first full length movie as a director. This film has lot of inspiration from ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘3 idiots’,” he added.

“This is my debut film. My name in the film is Sunburn, which is also a music festival in Goa. It is a largest Music festival in Asia and number three in the world. In the film, Sunburn works as a waiter in a dhaba in Kashmir.

He dreams of going to Goa and experiencing the Sunburn Festival,” said Sunny Kaushal, who has acted in the lead role.

“Shailendra Singh’s style of film-making is different. He approves any changes that we suggest in between the scenes.

My co-actors became my family after the shooting. I’m waiting to see the audience response,” he added.
