City ophthalmologist for SAARC Academy of Ophthalmology meet
Four other eminent ophthalmologists from India have also got invitation for the SAO meet. About 3,000 ophthalmologists from SAARC nations, including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan and Maldives.
Dr Velagapudi Sambasiva Rao of Aravinda Lasek Eye Hospital will attend the 13th Congress of SAARC Academy of Ophthalmology (SAO) at Karachi in Pakistan from August 18 to 21.
The biennial conference is being jointly organised by the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan (OSP) and Pakistan Glaucoma Association (PGA). He is the only ophthalmologist invited for the SAO conference from South India.
