Hyderabad: The secular festival of Raksha Bandhan epitomises the unconditional love between brother and sisters. While performing aarti and saying prayers prior to tying the rakhi along with application of tilak to their brother’s forehead, the students of primary and pre primary school, Sister Nivedita School, Hyderabad, explained the importance of this festival and the beautiful bond of trust and protection.

The epics of Hindusim describe the history behind this festival and the students of Pre-primary enacted the roles of Krishna and Draupadi to explain one such reason. The objective of the programme was to mark the spirit of the festival and spread the message of love.
