Krishnastami, was celebrated in a grand style at Vivekananda Residential School, Karimnagar. Lord Krishna was born to take revenge on King Kamsa who had killed all his siblings to safe guard his throne. 

Hyderabad: Krishnastami, was celebrated in a grand style at Vivekananda Residential School, Karimnagar. Lord Krishna was born to take revenge on King Kamsa who had killed all his siblings to safe guard his throne.

This festival is celebrated throughout India to mark the celebration the students of Class I and II came in traditional dresses bringing a festive mood in the campus. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by J. Srinivasa Rao, Estate Manager and Principal T. Lalitha Kumari.

Children sang songs depicting the greatness of Lord Krishna; various cultural programmes were performed about Krishna and Gopika with colourful and beautiful costumes.

The programme concluded with breaking of ‘Dahi Handi’. Sweets were distributed to the children and they enjoyed the day.
