Citizens Specialty Hospital generated awareness and shared knowledge on creating a ‘heart-healthy environment’ for the people of the city on Thursday. The hospital launched ‘Citizens Heart’ programme, a comprehensive cardiac care by both cardiologist and cardiac surgeons. 

Citizens Specialty Hospital generated awareness and shared knowledge on creating a ‘heart-healthy environment’ for the people of the city on Thursday. The hospital launched ‘Citizens Heart’ programme, a comprehensive cardiac care by both cardiologist and cardiac surgeons.

The hospital organised for a CPR training session with more than 100 students at Sridevi Engineering College. Dr Laxmi Kanth Galla, trained the students on handling emergency situations with proper training tools and equipments.

The hospital also arranged for free health camps and special cardiac packages for community members Manjeera Diamonds, Doyens Colony and Gulmohar Park. In addition, the hospital arranged special programmes to educate children at St. Ann's Primary School – BHEL, St. Ann's Primary School – BHEL, Sri Chaitanya – Nallagandla, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Public School.

On the occasion, Dr A Sreenivas Kumar, Chief of cardiology at Citizens Heart, said, “It is very important that we take care of our hearts from a young age through proper screening, physical activities and eating healthy.

We have a strong specialty team of cardiologists who are experts in their division and highly advanced with their treatment standards to ensure superior care.”
