The survey found that APAC travellers were likely to describe themselves as Bargain Hunters (22 per cent), Planners (21 per cent) and Spontaneous Travellers (21 per cent).

The Bargain Hunter: Indians are extremely skilled at bargaining (21 per cent) as opposed to Singaporeans who don’t think they drive a hard bargain (17 per cent). Instead Korean respondents are more likely to rank themselves highly at knowing how to bag a bargain (39 per cent) followed by the Aussies (24 per cent).

The Planner: On average, one in five respondents categorised themselves as Planners, ensuring every detail and activity of their holiday is planned out. Malaysians led the way (29 per cent) as the biggest planners, with Singaporeans and Indonesians following closely at 27 per cent and 26 per cent respectively. Indians scored less in comparison with only few planners (18 per cent).

The Spontaneous Traveller: Travellers who make decisions on the fly were highest amongst Taiwanese (35 per cent) and Indonesians (33 per cent). Following them are Indians who are impromptu vacation planners (22 per cent). Least spontaneous were Hong Kongers and Koreans at par at 14 per cent, just lower than Aussies (17 per cent), Singaporeans and Thais (both 16 per cent).

Women vs men
